One possible solution to your issues connecting to ATEM Switcher.

I just took over as TD at a church, and inherited an ATEM Television Studio HD in our of the rooms I now manage. I know the device had previously been controlled via network, but when i went to go use it, the device would not connect to the control software. It will connect to the setup software, and when it does, it prompts an update, and then the update immediately fails. Tried via UBS and network, on2 different computers.
There was an IP issue that i though may be it, but I resolved that and still no dice. Free
